it's the most, wonderful time, of the year!
Yeah, yeah. I know what that song is talking about. But for me, the most wonderful time of the year is right about now. Swim Season! I long for Memorial Day, and the fact that by then, it's warm enough to get in the pool. I love swimming and I love our pool. Love, love, love! So in preparation of Swim Season, the pool always needs work. There's the regular maintenance that really happens all year round, but certain things have to happen about once a year. And one major item is the daunting challenge of taking the filter apart and giving it a thorough cleaning. There are different types of filters that require different things, but ours is a D.E. (Diatomaceous Earth) filter with grids. And those grids get amazingly clogged and filthy. It's so gross!!! But hey, it's our gross, and we decided to get ours cleaned up last weekend. And...we shot a video! So here's a step-by-step on how to disassemble, reassemble, and all parts in between. Enjoy?
