remarket at cedar hill, texas

We had the pleasure of participating in the Cedar Hill, Texas ReMarket yesterday.  It was pretty soggy, but the vendors were optimistic and came out anyway.  Several customers made it by too!  I love these kinds of community efforts.  The City of Cedar Hill along with the Cedar Hill Arts Council and Zula B. Wylie Library sponsor the event, which takes place on the 4th Saturday of every month, April through September.  They've taken an otherwise abandoned business lot and turned it into a thriving artisan's flea market, if you will.  But it's more than flea market finds; it's art, crafts, food, and more.  It's the kind of perfect place to be on a lazy Saturday morning shopping trip.  We were thrilled to get to be a part of it, and plan to be at the June 27th event.  We're peddling succulents in re-purposed containers of all kinds, decorated river rocks, cut wine bottles, plant sticks made from corks and bamboo, and a few other things - you'll have to come out to see!

If you don't live in this area, find a local community arts fair, flea market, or neighborhood garage sale, and get out there and hunt for goodies.  You might find a home for a recycled or re-purposed gem, or some ideas to make your own at home!
